Your Turn: Your Feedback On Owens' Vote & Mammograms

North country Congressman Bill Owens voted in favor of President Obama's health care reform bill.

Here are some of your emails:

I am glad that Rep. Owens is supporting health care reform. Not only will this be beneficial to the people of NY-23, but to the country as a whole. The pros definitely outweigh the cons on this issue.

Kelly Arsenault

A vote for this bill, as it stands, is a vote to end his time in office.

James Rider

My dog has a better chance of getting elected this fall than Owens has getting re-elected.

Dan Rodriguez

I applaud Mr. Owens for…supporting change. It's time for Americans to liberate themselves from the fear-mongering of extremists. This is a good first step.

Bruce Webber

The government needs to focus on creating good paying jobs with health care benefits, rather than creating health care benefits without jobs.

James McCarthy

Detecting breast cancer early greatly increases a woman's chances of survival. The mammogram is a key weapon in the battle against the disease.

Here are some of your messages:

I am thankful every day for the test that saved my life. I am a firm believer in the mammogram as the first line of defense for all women especially over 45.

Susan VanBenschoten

I strongly agree with regular mammograms. A routine one saved my life.

Brenda Parker

I am a 10 year breast cancer survivor.  I encourage all women to get their mammograms.
