It's sticker shock for electricity users. Bills this winter that were already high, have now gone from bad to worse:

My January 2014 electric usage was 40kwh less than my 2013 usage, but my bill was $49 more. I guess this is a sign of what's to come - use less, less, less, pay more, more, more.

Police officers in St. Lawrence County will find themselves not only writing tickets for speeding and other traffic violations, but also prosecuting them in local courts. It's a way to free up staff in the District Attorney's Office:

Robert Thompson

The police officers already have too much to do without having to go to court.

In 1954, a new gas station opened in Watertown. Sixty years later you can't buy gas there anymore, but Cheney Tire is still going strong:

My family and myself have been customers of Cheney Tire for over 30 years.   Congratulations.

Susanne Bush

Kudos to the Cheney Tire Team! Always appreciate the work you've done on our vehicles!!

Two Indian River School District employees and another woman are being credited with saving the life of a 13 year old boy who collapsed while playing basketball:

It's amazing how God places people in the right place at the right time. Very proud of you all.

Anita Duffany Hill Ciulo

I love how humble these 2 women are but they ARE heroes! Great job ladies. This boy will get a second chance at life because of you.
