Your Turn: Your Feedback On Coach, Psych Center & More

Coach Pat Bassett is, at least temporarily, no longer at the helm of his South Jefferson girls basketball team. Officials won't say why. Some players say if he's not allowed back, they won't be back either:

Those of us who actually know Coach Bassett believe in him and his program.

Mike Burdick

It will be interesting to see what the allegations are.  I have known Coach Bassett for years; my daughter played for him.  I will be at the Board of Education to support him.

You will be at the meeting to support him? But you're unsure of allegations? That's scary, people. A major part of the problem here is the mindset that because a coach has a good 'record,' it is indicative of or more important than good character, morals, ethics.

More than a dozen north country leaders went to Albany last week to save the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in Ogdensburg.  Governor Andrew Cuomo made a surprise appearance during a meeting and said he will personally review the plan:

Amanda Barstow Reif

Melissa Dickson

It's ridiculous that people have to work this hard to convince him to leave a service in the north country that is so important and so needed.

Scott Kron needs a kidney.  Thanks to a story we did and posted on Facebook, a donor has been found. A Lewis County woman, Vangie Yelton, answered Scott's plea for help:

I am so happy for Mr. Kron and his family.
