Under the reorganization of EJ Noble Hospital in Gouverneur, employees will have to reapply for their jobs. Some workers say this is an attempt at union-busting, despite assurances to the contrary:

It's the poor care that people get at this hospital that has turned many people away.  This is why we need better qualified health care workers so if they need to reapply, then so be it.

A Massena man who was charged with animal cruelty several months ago was arrested after his dog died from being in a car in a State Fair parking lot for several hours:


This act of animal cruelty deserves prosecution to the fullest extent, and without delay.

It's the latest victory for gay couples. Same-sex spouses in the military will now receive the same rights as their heterosexual colleagues:


Downsize the military and furlough civilians, but there is enough funding to give benefits to gay spouses? Awesome priorities.
