A Jefferson County sheriff's deputy took an open bottle of alcohol out of a fellow deputy's patrol vehicle and threw it into a field. That's according to reports about the Sheriff's Department's handling of Deputy Adam Hallett's case. Burns should rewrite that Eric Clapton song, "I shot the Sheriff." The new lyrics could be, "I shot the deputies (or at least I wanted to), so leave the Sheriff alone..."
