St. Marguerite D'Youville Academy in Ogdensburg will be closing at the end of the school year.  The decision was based on declining enrollment and rising costs at the Catholic school:

 

My son attended SMDA from kindergarten until he went to OFA and it was the best scholastic experience he could have had. What a great loss!

The new owner of the rear portion of Watertown's Empsall Plaza says the mural on the side is an eyesore and says its days are numbered. Our story touched off a lively debate:

 

I have to agree with the new owner.  I find it embarrassing that something hasn't been done about that eyesore way before this time.
