Harlow Holland was born July 29, 1926, at the family home in DeKalb Junction, the son of Carleton and Effie Wells Holland.

He graduated from HermonHigh School in 1944.

He married Leona Paro on November 17, 1954.

They operated a dairy farm in DeKalb Junction.

He is survived by his wife, Leona, daughter Lucille (Terri) Thompson of Chateaugay, his grandchildren Bethany Lynn, Aaron, Mark, Joel, Jonathan, Seth, Nathaniel, Peter, Phillip, Matthew and Benjamin Thompson, four great grandchildren, sisters, Frances Thieme, Shirley (Stan) Morrill, a brother, David (Eleanor) Holland. He was predeceased by a daughter Grace Holland.

Calling hours will be 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM, Friday, July 3, 2009, at the Allen-Denesha Funeral Home in DeKalb Junction. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 4, at 10 AM at the Hermon First Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Browning officiating.

Burial will follow in HermonCemetery.
