Irene Mae Camidge Baillargeon, 78, formerly of Carthage
Irene Mae Camidge Baillargeon, 78, formerly of 222 State St., died Saturday evening at the Lewis County General Hospital. Born in Beartown in the Town of Wilna on April 4, 1931 to Robert & Carrie Spangler Adner, Sr. She married Cleon Camidge on June 5, 1948 at the Carthage Methodist Church. Mr. Camidge died in 1967. She was a CNA for the former Hallmark Nursing Home in Carthage and worked as a home health aide for Jefferson County. She enjoyed knitting, spending time with her family and was an avid fundraiser for functions at the Long Falls Apartments. She was a resident there until 2007, when she moved to the Lewis County Residential Care Facility in Lowville. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Julia & George Kloster, Croghan, Cora & John Kloster, Croghan, Douglas Camidge, Carthage, Colleen & Steven Jass, Iowa, Trudy & Pete Marriot, Chases Lake, Dennis & Pam Camidge, Tylerville and Brian & Tammy Camidge, Brantingham. Also surviving are two brothers and their wives, Andrew & Lois Adner, Sandy Creek and Robert & Marilyn Adner, Buffalo, a sister and her husband, Alice & Patrick Wilton, Carthage, 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son, Daniel, a daughter in law, Cathy Lago Camidge and a daughter Elaine, who died as an infant. Also predeceased are two sisters, Grace and Betty, two brothers, Harry and James and two grandsons, Ricky and Randy Kloster. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, with Wayne Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Natural Bridge. Calling hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
