Ruby J. Arquette, age 76, of Star Lake, died on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at her home under the care of her loving family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.

Ruby was born in Morristown on June 30, 1933. She was a daughter of the late Maxwell and Eva (Petrie) Bressett. She attended the Clifton-Fine Central School.

Ruby married Arnold V. Arquette on August 11, 1951 in Wanakena. The couple had lived in the Star Lake area all of their married lives. Arnold died on September 10, 1984. Mrs. Arquette was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts and quilting.

Her survivors include two sons, Arnold V. Jr. and his companion, Erlene Kerr of Oswegatchie, Steven R. and his wife, Andrea of Star Lake; two daughters and their husbands, Jolene J. and Alfred Austin of Oswegatchie, Betty Jane and Kevin Tebo of Lowville; two brothers, Arnold Bressett of New Port Ritchie, FL, Maxwell Bressett of Philadelphia, NY; and a sister, Maxine Sevey of Michigan. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Ruby is predeceased by her husband and a sister, Elizabeth Evans.

There will be a graveside service in the spring at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Fine. French Family Funeral Home, Star Lake is in charge of arrangements.
