Irma J. Pacific, 81, Watertown
Irma J. Pacific, 81, Park Dr. W., Watertown, passed away Wednesdaqy morning, Mar. 3, 2010, at her home under the care of her loving family, devoted caregivers, Fr. Donald Robinson, and Hospice. Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., 214 Sterling St., Watertown, on Sunday, March 7, from 3 - 7 PM. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Mar. 8, at 9 AM followed by the funeral mass celebrated at St. Anthony's Church at 10 AM with Fr. Donald Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Pacific was born in Watertown on August 25, 1928, the daughter of Costantino "Gus" and Theresa Pietropaoli Morgia. She graduated from Watertown High School. On June 4, 1950 she married Raymond C. Pacific at St. Anthony's Church with Msgr. Claude Sechi officiating. She had enjoyed her time as a salesperson for Herr's Fashion Shop and the Kiddy Korner. But her most satisfying working years were those spent working along side her family, where she became an intregal part of the daily operation of Dante's Restaurant. Upon retirement from the restaurant business, Irma enjoyed being a homemaker. She also took pleasure in crafting and cooking. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and had went on multiple trips with her fellow parishioners to visit St. Anne's. Some of her most treasured moments were the times she spent with her nieces, nephews, and their children, all of which she treated as if they were her own children, and passing on her family recipes to them. Besides her husband, Ray, she is survived by her two brothers and one sister-in-law, John A. & M. Jane Morgia and Dante R. Morgia, all of Watertown; her sister, Philomena C. Canale, FL; and her beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Donations may be made in her name to St. Anthony's Church, 850 Arsenal St., or Hospice of Jefferson County, 425 Washington St., both in Watertown, NY 13601. |
