Laurice E. Otakie, 87, passed away Tuesday evening at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had resided since July 1, 2004.

Mrs. Otakie, widow of Edward J. Otakie, retired from the Jefferson Co. Department of Social Services after 23 years of service.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday 1pm at Trinity Episcopal Church.  Calling hours are Saturday from 10am - 12 pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.
