Saturday: Clarkson Takes SLU; Watertown, Copenhagen Win

Clarkson's Bryan Rufenach scored first. St. Lawrence tied when Derrick Keller's shot deflected off Scott Freeman's stick, but 13 seconds later, Clarkson scored again. To top it off, Nick Tremblay scored with 20 seconds left in the period, running up Clarkson's lead to 3-1. (The final was 4-1.) *** Copenhagen beat Lyme in overtime to capture the girls' Frontier League 'D' championship. Morgan Kiernan scored the winning goal to put Copenhagen over, 2-1. *** Defending 'A' Division champion Watertown retained its girls' title with a 2-0 shutout of IHC. The two 'Mo's' - Maureen Keggins and Morgan Caldwell - delivered the goals. *** Jefferson survived a challenge from Jamestown 3-2 to advance past the first round of the Division 3 women's college soccer tournament.
