Two Carthage Lady Comet lacrosse players signed with their respective colleges on Thursday.

Katie Ferris signed a letter of intent to attend and play at UConn while teammate Kat DeRonda signed on with the Northwestern Wildcats.

Ferris holds the Carthage record for goals at 363 and set the 2009 state record with 138 goals in a season.

DeRonda has scored 203 goals in her career at Carthage and 222 assists, as well as All North MVP honors.

Carthage Girls Lacrosse Coach Sue Gallagher says both athletes will make an impact at their schools, with excellent goals in mind.
