Tools

After many years of ownership, the Capara family has decided to sell Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville to a Rochester businessman.

Tiger Chapman is a native of Cape Vincent and has a home there.

He's a longtime race fan and has been associated with local racing for 25 years as a driver.

Chapman said he decided to purchase Can-Am to try to take it to the next level.

Chip Burdick will stay on as general manager under the new ownership.

Can-Am Speedway was built in 1974.

The Caprara family purchased the park in 2003.
