Heuvelton Boys and Girls Fall Short in State Play

Heuvelton was well represented in state play in both baseball and softball on Saturday.

The Heuvelton Lady Bulldogs defeated Arkport 7-6 in ten innings to advance to the State Class D Championship. Hannah Thornhill's fly out to first base allowed Alexis Sawyer to score the winning run.

The Lady Bulldogs would fall 8-2 against Fort Ann in the championship game.

Heuvelton's baseball team fell 3-1 to Hancock in the State Class D semifinals.

Heuvelton's baseball and softball teams were the last remaining schools from the north country left in state play.
