North Country Teams Split In Section III Championships

It was a big day Sunday at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse for two north country boys' basketball teams.

Sackets Harbor took the Section III Class D title by defeating New York Mills 62-61.

In the Section III Class C championship game, Beaver River lost to Cooperstown 72-58.

And, in quarter-final hockey action in ECAC playoffs at Cheel Arena in Potsdam, RPI defeated Clarkson 4-1. RPI wins the series 2games to 1.
