Watch: Sackets, General Brown Win


Sackets Harbor's boys and General Brown's girls won Wednesday in holiday basketball play.

In the Charlie Bridge tournament in Sackets Harbor, Sackets boys beat General Brown 51-43, while in the consolation game, Lyme beat IHC 76-65.

At the Jefferson Community College Shootout, General Brown's girls beat Sackets 43-34.

Also in boys basketball, at the Lewis County tournament South Lewis beat Copenhagen, while Beaver River beat Lowville 40-25.

At the Berkman Classic in Canton, Madrid Waddington beat Edwards-Knox 66-59, and Canton beat Hermon Dekalb, 49-39.

At the Fulton basketball tournament, Oswego beat Carthage 77-38.

In girls' basketball, Carthage beat Fulton 40-33 at the Fulton tournament.

At the Lewis County tournament, Lowville edged Beaver River, 59-55, while Copenhagen beat South Lewis 29-22.

At the Heather Provost tournament in St. Regis Falls, Tupper Lake beat Norwood Norfolk 40-23, while Parishville-Hopkinton beat St. Regis Falls 35-28.

At the Cindy Brady tournament, Heuvelton beat St. Lawrence Central 49-29.

In a separate non-league game, Massena beat Northeast Clinton 34-27.

In boys hockey, St. Lawrence Central beat Plattsburgh 4-3 at the Islanders Tournament in Alexandria Bay, while Central Square won a shootout to break a 4-4 tie with the Islanders.

At the West Genesee tournament, West Genesee beat Potsdam 5-0, while Rome Free Academy beat Canton 2-1.

In other high school hockey, OFA beat Norwood-Norfolk 4-3, and Saranac Central beat Tupper Lake 4-3.

In professional hockey, Thousand Islands beat Akwesasne 8-3.
