Watch Sports: Leonard Football Camp Returning

Tools

The way Brian Leonard figures it, north country football players just need a chance to be seen by the right people.

The former Gouverneur and Rutgers star, now signed to the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers, told 7 News he had the advantage of attending summer camps where he was seen by coaches and got extra training.

"There's good athletes in northern New York. You just don't have good exposure up there," he said.

For a fifth year, Leonard's camp brings together local players and coaches from around the country.
