The Beaver River Boys Swimming Team is 3-4 this season, but more important may be the fact that there is a record to even speak of.

Carolyn Marolf coached the team for 17 years, took a 10 year hiatus, and returned to coaching to build the program back up from non-existence.

She has been impressed by their improving skills and dedication to the sport.

She and her sister Charlotte helped resurrect the program 5 years ago after there were not enough swimmers to create a squad.

3 eighth graders to be age matured to fill the roster and those swimmers are now seniors who are proud to be part of a tradition.

As the program grows, so will the team's status in North Country swimming competitions.
