Known as "the rivalry", Clarkson-St. Lawrence games need no introduction to the North Country echelons of sports.

It's a best out of 3 series as Clarkson visits St. Lawrence University in first round play of the ECAC playoffs and it is sure to be an emotional and competitive atmosphere at Appleton Arena.

Coach George Roll of the Golden Knights, says that a tough stretch with some key losses made the Clarkson team tougher and more determined to get healthy and play the best they can.

"It's going to be an extremely competitve and difficult series for us."

Saints Coach Joe Marsh agreed, saying that his team must be able to control the game and erase the past wins and focus on the present.

"This rivalry seems to be a great equalizer to things."
