Frank Jobe , an innovator in sports medicine who was the first to perform an elbow surgery that extended the careers of major league pitchers has died at the age of 88.

Jobe first performed the surgery in 1974 on pitcher Tommy John.

Tommy John sat down with 7News Sports Director Mel Busler to share memories fo his relationship with Dr. Jobe.
