OFA took an early lead in state semi-final baseball play Saturday, only to lose to Fredonia.

The Blue Devils led 2-0 in the class B semi-final after two innings, but Fredonia came roaring back with six runs in the third.

Also Saturday, Sandy Creek's softball team made it all the way to the state class C championship game by beating Greenwich 11-1, but lost in the last game to Frewsburg, 2-1.

In Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League action, Mohawk Valley beat the Watertown Rams 4-0.
