The Watertown High School varsity boys' swim team was sent off in style Thursday morning.

The Watertown Cyclones are on their way to the New York State championships in Webster, N.Y., near Rochester. Students, parents and faculty lined the hallways to cheer for the team.

The Cyclones say it feels good to see how much people care.

"It's a good experience," team member Michael Netto said. "It's awfully nice to see the support we have from the school and from our teammates."

"We just work hard every day," head coach Tom Graban said, "and this is what we get for working hard."

The team was whisked away in a limo sine to Syracuse, where they will meet up with other teams to take a bus to Webster.
