Hutchings and Van Nest Pick Up Thunder Alley Season Ending Victories
Evans Mills NY… Caprara’s Thunder Alley Speed Park kicked off the end of the season with a 4 cylinder open and a 75 lap enduro on Sunday, September 13, 2009. Wendy Dadson and Robert Scott would lead the four cylinder open to the green with Robert Scott taking the early lead on the field. Jim Money would quickly work his way up from his eighth place starting position to take over the lead on the field by lap number two. Claude Hutchings would work the high side of the speedway and move by Jim Money to command the field while Steve Denton, Glen Irwin and Robert Scott would round out the top five. Tim Dunn moved from his fifth place starting position into the second spot. Randy Knight moved around Mike Trapp to take the fourth position while Tim Dunn quickly moved to the back bumper of Claude Hutchings. As the checkered flag waved, Claude Hutchings would pick up the win over Tim Dunn and Robert Scott. The win for the 75 Lap enduro would go to Stan Van Nest with Doug Matthews and Rob Martin rounding out the top three. This will concluded the 2009 racing season at Caprara’s Thunder Alley Speed Park.
