Amanda Corna joined WWNY in October 2015.
Amanda comes to Watertown from Brookfield, Connecticut, a small town in the western part of the state.
She attended Western Connecticut State University and graduated in May 2014 with a B.A in Media Arts Production. From there she went on to get her master's degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School for Public Communications at Syracuse University.
While attending grad school, Amanda interned for WTNH in New Haven, CT for its lifestyle show "CT Style."
Her most recent internship sent her to Washington, D.C, where she worked as a D.C. correspondent for WVNY/WFFF in Plattsburgh, N.Y/Burlington, Vermont. She pitched, shot, wrote and edited all her own stories in the nation's capital and several of her pieces aired in the Plattsburgh/Burlington market.
When she's not reporting, she enjoys watching movies, traveling and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Amanda is proud to call the north country her new home and would love to hear from you. You can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or follow her Twitter @AmandaCorna.
