Patriots Superfan Leaving Watertown For Superbowl LI

New England Patriots fan Kerri Crauder is all packed for a trip she's waited her entire life for.

"I first became a Patriots fan when I was inside my mom's tummy," she said.

Kerri, her son, Zach, and her sister are driving 1,800 miles to Houston, Texas, for Super Bowl LI.

They'll show up to their first Super Bowl in style, riding in a Patriots-themed Cadillac.

"My husband pretty much said to me we are in a situation now financially that if you want to take this trip, put it all together and go for it," said Kerri.

Inside Kerri's home in Watertown is her "woman's cave" of Patriots memorabilia, with signed helmets, jerseys of her favorite player, cornerback Malcolm Butler, and pictures of historic Patriots moments.

Kerri grew up in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, just 10 miles from Gillette Stadium.

She and her husband, Ben, moved to Fort Drum 13 years ago.

When stationed in Iraq, Ben wrote to Pats coach Bill Belichick, who sent him back an autographed picture and letter.

On the drive to Houston, Crauder will stop and spend the night at her sister's house in Tennessee.

The two of them saw their first Patriots game together at the old Foxboro Stadium in 1990.

"I'm expecting to just be so overwhelmed with excitement. I think it's going to be kind of a shock and an awe feeling,"said Kerri.

Kerri thinks New England's strong defense will slow down the high-powered Atlanta Falcons offense, but she says she feels like she's already won well before kickoff.
