Man, Accused of Scalding 2 Year Old, to Face Grand Jury
An 18 year old Carthage man who is accused of scalding a baby with boiling water will face a grand jury.
The case of Raymond Rogers was in Watertown city court Tuesday.
City police charged Rogers last week with assault, second degree and endangering the welfare of a child. He was accused of pouring boiling water over the head of his girlfriend's two year old son. It happened at 119 East Division Street in the city, police said.
At the time, police said the baby was recovering from his burns.
In city court Tuesday, the charges against Rogers were referred to a Jefferson County grand jury. Rogers will also be in Jefferson County court Wednesday on an unrelated charge.
