Flood Damage? State Sending Help With Insurance Claims

If your property has been damaged by flooding on Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River, the state is offering help with insurance claims.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Friday that mobile command centers will be deployed to Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties next week.

The Department of Financial Services will set up the following local centers:

Jefferson County
Tuesday, May 16  
10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Town of Lyme
Chaumont Volunteer Fire Department
11385 NY Route-12E

St. Lawrence County
Wednesday May 17
10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
City of Ogdensburg
100 Riverside Ave (The Dobisky Center)

If you're unable to visit the command centers, you can call the department's Disaster Hotline at 1-800-339-1759, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 p.m. for help with insurance-related issues.
