Free Parking Will Remain On Watertown's Public Square

Posted: Updated:

Parking on Watertown's Public Square is staying free for the foreseeable future.

During city budget talks, the idea of installing parking meters was brought up.

However, Councilman Cody Horbacz tells 7 News it was just an idea and not a concrete proposal, but there are parking problems downtown.

Horbacz says he receives complaints from some shop owners, who claim people hog spaces - parking much longer than the two hour limit.
