More Than 700 Students Graduate from Clarkson University

More than 700 graduates received their diplomas from Clarkson University Saturday afternoon in Potsdam.

The college's 124th commencement was held on campus at Cheel Arena, celebrating the students' accomplishments, talents, and the road that lies ahead.

The graduates were made up of students from 34 states, 26 countries and 60 new York state counties, receiving their bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees.

The school also handed out honorary doctoral degrees to Jan Achenbach, the Walter P. Murphy and Distinguished McCormick School Professor Emeritus of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University;  Jeffrey R. Immelt, chairman and CEO of GE; and David Reh '62, owner and managing partner of Ravenwood Golf Club.

The group also got the chance to address students, families, and guests at the ceremony.
