Posted: Updated:

There's a plea for help with sandbags in Chaumont where flooding along the Lake Ontario shoreline continues to be a problem.

Chaumont Fire Chief Fred Jackson has put out the word that he needs 60 to 80 volunteers to help fill sandbags.

He's asking people to come to the Chaumont fire hall Tuesday evening.

Jackson said volunteers filled 11,000 sandbags during the day and there continues to be demand.
