A Canton teen faces felony charges for allegedly threatening to kill one or more people at his school.

Village police charged 17 year old Brandon Cunningham with making a terroristic threat.

A student at Canton Central School, Cunningham allegedly made a threat on social media Tuesday.

According to police, the post included a threat to kill one or more people at the school.

The school issued a news release Tuesday, saying a student was removed for allegedly making a threat on social media.

Officials said they immediately turned the matter over to law enforcement.

Cunningham was arraigned in Canton Town Court and released to the custody of a family member.

He's due back in court on June 7.
