Career Jam attracted more than 2,000 8th and 9th graders to the Watertown Municipal Arena Thursday.
They were there to learn about different careers from area employers.
7 News was there. Students got to test out their skills on the green screen.
Organizers say the event is all about introducing students to career options they might not be familiar with.
"Some of them, they'll know the obvious, the teachers, the nurses. But what we're trying to do is there's medical tech, there's also broadcasting, there's welding, there's manufacturing, there's government," said Cheryl Mayforth, organizer.
