The 2017 Northeastern Football Alliance season opened up Saturday night with three games in the area.
At the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds, the Watertown Red and Black opened up its season with a huge 55-14 win over the Charlotte Colonels. It was the Red and Black's first ever game in the league after leaving the Empire Football League on Thursday.
The Carthage Revolution opened up their season on home turf by taking down Ithaca 28-14.
At Potsdam High School, the North Country Tigers played its first NFA game. The Tigers kept it close late into the game, however ended up losing to the Southern Tier Diesel 52-26.
