A LaFargeville man currently incarcerated at Jefferson County jail is accused of hitting a fellow inmate and causing a long cut on the other inmate's face.

Sheriff's deputies say 39 year old Robert Brown allegedly hit Frederick Johnson of Adams in the face.

Deputies say Johnson suffered a cut along his jaw line that required five stitches.

Brown was charged with second-degree assault, arraigned in Watertown city court, and sent back to jail on $5,000 bail.
