The search continues for a superintendent at General Brown Central School.
The district has hired former South Jefferson Superintendent Jamie Moesel to hold down the fort in the meantime. She assumes interim superintendent duties in July.
General Brown interviewed three candidates for the job in April.
The school board reopened its search after its top choice for the job turned it down.
The position becomes available with Cammy Morrison's move to be full time with Lyme Central School.
Morrison started as General Brown's superintendent and then in 2014 was shared between General Brown and Lyme to save money.
General Brown decided earlier this year that its financial situation improved enough for it to have its own superintendent again.
Morrison decided to stay with Lyme.
District officials say they expect to interview candidates in the fall.
