A Philadelphia man was sentenced last week in Jefferson County Court to 17 years in prison for causing the death of his girlfriend's baby:
He deserves this 17 years, but the death sentence would have been better.
He'll get his comeuppance in prison!
Some state lawmakers and community advocates are renewing the push for legalized recreational marijuana in New York state:
It should be legal. It is no worse than alcohol.
Seeing how drug overdoses are killing off a generation one-by-one, I'll definitely say no to this.
It would bring in a big tax income.
The cost keeps climbing for the big drug bust known as "Operation Gravy Train". St. Lawrence County's chief public defender calls it "staggering:"
If it saves one kid, it's well worth it, no matter the dollar amount!
I think the name of the operation was meant to reflect the lawyers' fees involved.
Carthage Area Hospital is closing its skilled nursing unit. The move means 23 people must find a new place to live, and two dozen employees need new jobs:
So sad these people are going through this.
The hospital is going to help each one of them get into good places.
They are trying to save all the jobs if they can.
