He's committed seven decades of faith and service to his community.

Ninety-one year old Sam Tufo has served as a grand knight in Watertown's Knights of Columbus Council for 70 years.

He was recognized for his years with the Knights with an appreciation dinner at Savory Downtown in Watertown Saturday night.

"I did something that I really enjoyed doing with the Knights of Columbus throughout all these years and it's what I wanted to do," he said.

The Diocese of Ogdensburg's Bishop Terry LaValley read the invocation at Tufo's appreciation dinner.
