Crews will start this week to prepare a couple of state highways in Lewis County for paving later this month.
Prep work begins Monday on State Route 12 in Lowville -- also known as Utica Boulevard -- from the intersection with State Route 26 to the Lowville-Martinsburg town line.
That's expected to take about three days.
Starting Tuesday crews will begin milling State Route 126 in Beaver Falls from Riverside Drive to Shady Avenue in Croghan. That work is expected to be done by Friday.
Paving on both highways is expected to begin in late July and last about a week.
