A Gouverneur woman faces several charges after she allegedly struck a pedestrian with her vehicle and drove away.
St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies say 24 year old Tayler Bowden was driving a vehicle that struck a pedestrian on State Route 68 in the town of Oswegatchie on Sunday.
Deputies said the pedestrian, who was not identified, suffered minor injuries.
Bowden left the scene and was stopped by state police in Canton. She refused sobriety and chemical breath tests.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, moving from lane unsafely, third-degree assault, and operating out of an ignition interlock restriction.
Bowden was arraigned in Morristown town court and was released under probation supervision. She will reappear in Oswegatchie town court at a later date.
