Troopers Return In Force To Shooting Scene

Posted: Updated:

There were some tense moments Monday night when state troopers returned armed and in large numbers to the scene of Sunday night's shooting.

They shut down part of County Route 46 near Theresa -- also called River Road -- while they investigated a report of a suspicious person in the neighborhood.

It was near the home where 32 year old Justin Walters allegedly shot and killed his wife, Nichole, and Trooper Joel Davis.

The show of force had some neighbors on edge.

Police canvassed the neighborhood, but didn't find anyone.

Police say the community was not in any danger.
