The rides at the Jefferson County Fair are stealing the show for many kids.
Fair president Bob Simpson says a popular ride at the fair this year is the Speed. It sends riders flying way up in the air and kids are lining up for the ride.
Jacqueline Crouch and Ashley Lillie described it as, "Awesome, but scary."
"The first time seeing it, it was very intimidating but going on it was crazy," Jonathon Crouch said. "It was really fun but getting stuck at the top is the scariest part but it gives you a great view."
Thursday is dollar day for rides at the fair and the Speed is included.
