Victims Assistance Center Offers Help For Potential Victims
The recent shooting deaths of a state trooper and the suspect's wife have caught the attention of a Jefferson County group whose job is to protect victims of violence.
In a press release, the Victims Assistance Center says the killings of Nichole Walters, wife of suspect Justin Walters, and Trooper Joel Davis have devastated the community and left the agency heartbroken.
"There are resources available for an individual to come forward and receive services so that something doesn't escalate to this point," executive director Jill Parker said.
Parker says anyone who needs immediate assistance should call 911, but anyone who's looking for someone to talk to for help can call 315-782-1855.
