It's a passion. That's what motivates some people to rebuild and show off their antique fire trucks.
That's what reporter Amanda Cora learned talking to those who have gathered this week at Hilton Garden Inn in Watertown for the national convention for the Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America (SPAAMFAA).
Their prides and joy will be on display in Sackets Harbor Saturday in an Antique and Classic Fire Apparatus parade and show hosted by the Thousand Islands Hose Haulers.
Cora talked with SPAAMFAA members live on 7 News This Morning. You can see her interview with Mike Dunbar of Chesapeake, Virginia as he talks about the 1929 fire truck he spent several years restoring.
