Group Creates ID Cards For Children

It's a way to keep your child safe and it only takes a few minutes to do.

Masons from the New York State Mason Safety ID program were on hand at the Gouverneur - St. Lawrence County Fair Friday to make identification cards for parents.

It's used in case a child goes missing. The ID cards include a child's picture, information, and their thumb print.

"We just do it because it's a great thing to do for kids and it's a resource that the community can then use," said Robert House, New York State Mason Safety ID program

The child's information also gets put on a small disc, which is also provided to the parent.
