A 25 year old Carthage woman is going to prison for breaking into a Lowville business and stealing money.

Rebeka Caplicki was sentenced Friday in Jefferson County Court to two and a half to 5 years behind bars.

She pleaded guilty in June to third-degree burglary.

Caplicki was arrested last December after stealing a large sum of money from the Lowville Bottle Redemption Center.

She was originally charged with third degree burglary and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

During her sentencing Friday, Caplicki was ordered to pay $6,575 in restitution.

She was sentenced as a second felony offender.
