Massena Shooting Victim in Critical Condition, Police Still Looking for One Suspect

A victim in critical condition and police are still looking for one suspect.

The man authorities say was shot, Anthony Lewis is was in critical condition as of Sunday evening at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night at 10 Cook Street where authorities say Lewis and and his roommate Sergey Barsukob were with two females, including Lewis' girlfriend April Cortese. Massena Police chief Adam Love said that's when four suspects allegedly invaded the home wearing ski masks and bandanas and robbed them. The invaders had a gun and and a machete or sword. Lewis was then shot and Barsukob stabbed.

Three suspects have been arrested, but police are still looking for the fourth, Richard Herne,36, of Hogansburg.

The three others arrested. Damion Giarratano, 23, Amanda Terrance, 32, and Alan Green, 25, are all facing charges of assault, burglary, and robbery.

Herne is wanted for the same charges.
