2 Injured When Motorcycle Collides With State Police Car

Two people received minor injuries when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a state trooper car Sunday night.

State police say Trooper Christopher Wyant was traveling south on North Massey Street in Watertown around 8:15 p.m. with the vehicle's siren and flashing lights on when moved slowly into the northbound lane to get around traffic at the intersection with Arsenal Street.

Meanwhile, a motorcycle operated by Lucas Lavancha traveling east on Arsenal Street turned onto Massey Street and collided with with the front end of the patrol vehicle. 

Police say both vehicles were traveling slowly and Lavancha failed to notice the patrol car.

Lavancha and a passenger, Christa Davis, were taken to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown where they were treated for their injuries and released.
