A construction company's shop in the town of Clayton is a total loss after two explosions sparked a fire Wednesday afternoon.
Clayton firefighters responded to Patch Seaway International on East Line Road just before 2:30 p.m.
No one was inside the shop during the first explosion.
Clayton's fire chief says a secondary explosion happened right as firefighters arrived.
"The business is a marine company. They do docks and pylons. So there's acetylene torches, welders. There's a forklift in there," said Chris Barton, fire chief.
Fire investigators are looking into what caused the explosions, but Chief Barton says they're focusing their attention on the front of the building.
