SPCA: Doggy Paddle, New Director And ... More Kittens

Posted: Updated:

There are still plenty of kittens at the Jefferson County SPCA.

And that includes the cuddly kitten the SPCA's Doug Marlow brought to the 7 News This Morning studio.

That kitten and its litter mate were brought in as strays and just finished their time in foster care.

Marlow also talked about this past weekend's Doggy Paddle fundraiser, which raised more than $2,000.

He noted that the SPCA's new executive director, Heather Spezzano, starts her new job September 5.

Marlow said he'll be there until September 29 to help with the transition.

For more information on adopting an animal, volunteering or becoming a member, call the shelter at 315-782-3260.
